Ingredients
- 2 green cardamom pods
- 1 black cardamom pod
- 3 cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cups milk
- 2 tsp CTC tea
- 3 tsp sugar
- 1 star anise
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Grind the green cardamom pods, black cardamom pod, and cloves, coarsely preferably using a mortar.
- Add ground black pepper, and nutmeg to the spice mix.
- Put water, and milk in a saucepan and put it on a low flame.
- Add CTC tea, sugar, star anise, cinnamon stick, and the spice mix into the saucepan.
- Turn up heat, and wait til liquid boils up.
- Reduce heat to make sure the liquid does not boil over.
- Repeat previous 2 steps twice and then put it on simmer for a 5 minutes.
- Use a strainer to filter out the tea.
